So, after playing Scrabble GO for a while, you’ve decided that it’s not for you. That’s okay. It’s not for everyone. However, simply uninstalling the app from your phone is not enough. Your account and all its data still exist. From their perspective, your account is simply inactive. Follow these steps to delete your Scrabble GO account for good. It’s actually quite easy.

Disconnect Scrabble GO From Facebook

As we discussed in our article outlining easy instructions for Scrabble GO, the easiest way to start a game with friends is to sign in using Facebook. If you took this option, you’ll then need to disconnect your Scrabble GO profile from your Facebook profile if you want to delete your Scrabble GO account.

In the Scrabble GO App

To disconnect your Facebook account from your Scrabble GO account:

  1. Open the Scrabble GO app on your phone or tablet.

  2. Tap on your initial in the top-left corner of the app’s home screen. This will open your profile page.

  3. Tap on the gear icon in the top-right corner. This will open your profile settings.

  4. Tap on the Facebook icon in the middle.

  5. Choose to disconnect.

Scopely, the publisher of Scrabble GO, reminds users that any information you’ve already shared, like your name and profile photo, will not be removed automatically from your Scrabble GO profile. This data will remain until you change it or you ask Scopely to delete it.

In Your Facebook Settings

When you follow the above steps in the Scrabble GO app, your Facebook profile should no longer be connected to the game. However, it’s a good idea to double-check from within Facebook too.

  1. Open the Facebook app on your phone.

  2. Tap on the menu button (three horizontal lines) near the top-right corner.

  3. Choose “Settings.”
